Siri has really taken the mobile world by storm. Many with the new iPhone4s believe that this is truly a benefit for busy professionals and entrepreneurs on the go. However, a brief
comparison will show that you can’t really beat having a real life virtual assistant. This is one area where technology can’t replace the real thing. I don’t say this simply because I’m the owner of a Virtual Assistant company; I speak from first hand experience.
While it’s great to be able to talk to your phone when you’re busy and get an immediate response, Siri has it’s caveats, and here are just a few:
- Many feel that Siri takes up too much memory on the iPhone
- If your phone breaks or you lose it, Siri is gone bye bye
- Siri can’t add contacts when you’re speaking to someone for the first time
- There are complaints about Siri frequently being down or not working
These are all problems that you won’t have to deal with, if you have an actual or real, living and breathing virtual assistant. I’d love to know your thoughts on what a real life VA can do that Siri can’t. I’ll respond to all blog comments personally.
