What happens when you have too many creative ideas going on at once? Typically if you’re creative you have logged your ideas in your head and you keep adding to the basic concept of each idea. Often however, you don’t find the time to implement those ideas. Here are a few tips to help you ensure your creative juices are not overflowing:
- Spend an hour or two a day working on nothing but your new idea. Block out everything else and allow yourself 1 or 2 hours to foster your creative side. This will bring you a feeling of accomplishment instead of overload or overwhelm.
- Take a nap. Many creative people say their juices are flowing during the wee hours, when they should be sleeping! 🙂 If this is also true of you, take a nap during the day to give your brain a rest and re-vamp. To get help with this, reference my article on lessons from GrandMa, found here.
- Narrow it down. I know how it is to have a million ideas that have been with you for years; ideas you have yet to implement. However, it’s time to narrow them down. Your creative juices will not stop flowing, so don’t worry about that. God has blessed us all with a measure of genius, so narrow down your creative ideas to 1 or 2 that you can put your full force behind and implement.
