Sometimes less is more. I’ve always been on the side of working lean; it’s better for your team, the planet and your own stress level. When it comes to social media, my team and I are so busy creating content and managing the social media of our clients that our own social media sites are not tended to as actively as we’d like. However, instead of increasing things, I’ve decided to scale back. It has proven to be of benefit to our team.
Why less social media posts has worked for us
Now that I only post once a day; I’ve noticed we’ve gotten more direct messages asking us if we’d like to partner with companies who shout out businesses socially. I’m also back to enjoying the process of selecting articles that we’ll highlight on our pages. While I plan to diversify between articles and visuals soon; at the very least I know the articles I’m publishing are being read by our followers. Before I decided to go this route, I would worry about finding 3 articles a day and the times that the followers were more likely to read the post. Now I only concern myself with getting a morning post out. Social Media is important, but it’s not a task that brings in an enormous amount of money for our business, so the adjustment has really worked for us. Is there a task in your business that you could scale back on; if so, please share your thoughts in the comments.

I would have to agree that social media is a great way to network but can also be over kill if used too often.
Yes it can be. Thanks for chiming in.
I am just getting into social media so I am not doing a lot because I find it to be time consuming. This can be stressful.
I agree that Less is More! People don’t like to be bombarded with so much information now-a-days.
