A social media presence is expected of most businesses. However, when visitors go to your social media sites, you’ll want to ensure that there is up-to-date content for them to review. If you’re handling your social media on your own, or have a team to provide you with social media management, here are a few tips that will help you or you team maintain a great social media presence:
- Use different media for different social media sites. Some social media sites respond better to images. Some sites respond to newsworthy articles best. Find out what your followers are sharing with others and keep posting more of the same.
- Always be ready to make changes. Social media sites, in particular: Facebook are always making changes. Be ready to change with them. As new ways of interacting socially are developed by the sites you used, become an early adopter so that you can help your business and clients stay active.
- Stick to what you know. If you are only getting engagement on a few social media websites, stick to that. Hone your skills in using those sites to the best of your ability. Don’t feel the need to create a profile on every social media site there is. You want to spend your valuable time updating the social media sites that you know work for you and your business and/or the business of your clients.
